St. Daniel Comboni hospital has got a functional operating theatre working 24 hours, headed by a nursing officer, with senior medical officers, senior anaethetic officers and qualified nurses.
It consists of both major and minor sections operating on a daily basis.

Major section handles the following surgeries

1. Laparotomy; Mini, Emergency and Elective
2. Herniorrhaphy; Mayo’s repair, Inguinal and Bilateral
3. Caesarean section; Emergency and Elective
4. Dilatation and Curettage (D & C)
5. Haemorrhoidectomy; Simple external and internal
6. Hysterectomy; Total and Subtotal etc.

Minor section handles the following surgeries

1. Safe male circumcision
2. Surgical toilet and suturing (STS)
3. Ear syringing
4. Foreign body removal
5. Incision and drainage
6. Debridement of wounds
7. Debridement of wounds
8. Excision etc.

This is headed by Ayebazibwe Max, Nursing officer
